The whimsical show, produced by Chaska
Valley Family Theatre, follows two great friends — the cheerful, popular Frog
and the rather grumpy Toad — through four, fun-filled seasons. Waking
from hibernation in the spring, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves,
go sledding, and learn life lessons along the way. Part vaudeville, part
make-believe, all charm, A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD tells the story of a
friendship that endures, weathering all seasons. Plus, The jazzy, upbeat score bubbles with
melody and wit, making it an inventive, exuberant, and enchanting musical
perfect for the whole family to enjoy!

Arnold Lobel,
who wrote the classic books Frog and Toad are Friends, received a Caldecott Honor award and
the prestigious Newbery Honor award for his. In 2002, Adrianne Lobel, the
author's daughter, commissioned a musical based on the beloved characters and
the premiered at the Children's Theater Company of Minneapolis. The show moved
to Broadway and received three Tony nominations in 2003, including Best
Musical.
